Who we are

What we collect
We only collect what we need in order to respond to you and to carry out work:
- Enquiry details — your name, email address, telephone number, postcode or area, and the description of the work you submit through our form.
- Correspondence — emails, messages and notes of calls relating to your enquiry or project.
- Project records — where you become a client, the survey notes, quotations, variations and site records associated with the work.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website, and we do not build marketing profiles from your enquiry.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry — because you have asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interest to answer people who contact us.
- To quote for and carry out work — to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and then to perform that contract.
- To meet legal obligations — for example retaining records for tax, health and safety, and building control purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Project records are retained for the period required by our legal and insurance obligations, which is normally six years from completion.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where necessary to do the work or run the business — for example with the structural engineer, building control body or specialist subcontractor engaged on your project, and with the providers who host this website and handle our email. Those providers act on our instructions.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to erase it or restrict how we use it, to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to request a copy in a portable format.

Security
This site is served over HTTPS and enquiry data is transmitted encrypted. Access to enquiry and project records is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function and are not used to identify you.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly.
